This may be obvious to some already but just thought I'd throw it out there.
The way it should be done is to attack the Single Player Goblin map. Just release all your unwanted troops/spells, then just leave.
You don't break your Multiplayer shield (if you have one), nor lose any trophies.
Remember, even a single troop can make a difference. So make sure you are fully satisfied with your army before attacking!
